1. Every job I've had in the past 12 years has been the result of a recruiter calling me. I actually got another call last week. If anyone reading this would like to be an IBM Netcool administrator, I have a lead for you.

2. If money were no object, I would do the exact same job that I do now. Please do not tell my employer this.

3. I sing in the car, but stop when I pass someone.

4. I drive a red Mustang and have never gotten a ticket in it.

5. I love British beer. One of my favorites is Theakston Old Peculier. You can get it at O'Connell's Pub in St. Louis.

Is it really so bad?

I have nothing but empathy for anyone facing serious difficulty in this troubled economic environment. But what does the recession mean for most of us? Reports in the media tell us that people are getting out of debt and saving more. They're preparing food at home rather than going out to eat. They're spending less on frivolous luxuries. They're making Christmas presents rather than buying them. They're purchasing more fuel-efficient cars and driving less.
